Update on the 9th Experimental Archaeology Conference

We are pleased to confirm that the Call for Papers will be announced shortly for the 9th Experimental Archaeology conference, at University College Dublin, 16th-18th January, 2015. The deadline for proposals will be 30th September 2014.

There will be two days of presentations and demonstrations at the UCD Centre for Experimental Archaeology and Ancient Technologies and a one-day field-trip to the Irish National Heritage Park, Ferrycarrig, Co. Wexford.

We will particularly welcome papers on aspects of experimental archaeology and pedagogy; on experiments and experiences in houses and dwellings; on embodied skills and knowledge in craft skills and tool/weapon use, and on food, cooking and society in the past, and on gender in experimental archaeology.
