Along with the details of the conference, the organisers have compiled some information on getting to and around the area of the conference:
Getting to University College Dublin (UCD) – Belfield Campus
Help getting to UCD can be found here and you can also use UCD’s hit the road service providing routes from anywhere in the city to Belfield Campus.
From Dublin Airport:
For attendees traveling from outside Ireland, the easiest way to access Dublin is via the Airport.
- Aircoach (to Leoparstown/Sandyford/Stillorgan) stops at UCD main entrance (N11).
- Airlink shuttle service
- Dublin Bus e.g. 747, 16 (to the city centre or Central Bus Station – Busáras) which is a short walking distance from O’Connell Street.
From Dublin City Centre:
Buses from/near O’Connell Street and Trinity College serving Belfield Campus or within walking distance include: 2, 11, 39a, 46a, 84x, 145. For other alternatives, please visit Dublin Bus website. Taxi ranks can also be found on O’Connell Street and St Stephen’s Green. Other options from the city centre include the DART service line southbound (to Bray or Greystones) that stops at Sidney Parade station, which is approximately 25min walk away from UCD main entrance. Alternatively there is a new shuttle bus service between UCD and Sydney Parade Dart Station operating every half-hour from 8am to 10am and from 4pm to 6pm (see website for details of times).
Long-distance bus service to Dublin Central Station (Busáras) is run by BusEireann while trains service both Connolly Station (within walking distance of O’Connell Street) and Heuston Station (which is served by Bus 145).
Most visitors’ parking in UCD is paid and spaces can be limited.
